MSU Bingo
Role:
UX Designer, Graphic Designer
Michigan State University Bingo is a concept designed to help new students become familiar with campus in a fun and interactive way. The idea centers around a mobile experience accessed through QR codes placed around campus, where students select a bingo board and complete challenges by visiting and taking selfies at featured campus locations. By gamifying campus exploration, the system encourages students to learn where important buildings and resources are located while creating an engaging orientation experience. This project focuses on improving wayfinding, reducing first-day anxiety, and fostering early campus engagement through playful interaction design.
Concept Statement
My idea for a bingo game revolves around the players visiting different MSU locations. They are given a bingo sheet that has different locations that can be found on campus. The game will require the player to take a picture of any given location and upload it to the application as proof they have visited said location. First person to get pictures of 5 locations in a row wins a BIG PRIZE!!!

User-Need Statement
A new student is visiting MSU’s campus for the first time. They would like to know more about MSU’s landmarks (particularly where they are and what they look like) so they can gain a better idea of how to navigate around campus.
User Task Flow

To provide extra incentive for students to participate, students would win a prize for completion of their personal bingo card. The prizes won would vary on value depending on the time in which the bingo card is completed.

-
